Today, I would like to thank the Paiute people of the Greater Basin area, especially the Las Vegas band, living both in the city and on the beautiful Snow Mountain. It is from your noble culture that I drew heavily upon for the bulk of this novel’s heroes. I can only hope that Jack and Bill Cloudancer live up to all that you are.
