Movie Review: Tiger Eyes

Tiger Eyes filmed in 2012 is an adaptation of the Judy Blume novel baring the same name. When the father of a teenage girl dies, her mother moves the family from Atlantic City to Los Alamos, New Mexico. Feeling lost and misunderstood, Davey spends her time in the serene beauty of the canyon where she meets the mysterious “Wolf” (played by Tatanka Means). Wolf guides Davey back from the edge of grief and gives her the strength to carry on with her life.

Also in this film is Tatanka’s father, the activist Russell Means. Later the same year this movie was filmed Mr. Means passed away at age 72. I have watched this on DVD more than once, not only because it is that good, but also to honor a man who will be missed by many. Walk with the Great Spirit, Russell.
