Bio

The 31 year old actor/model, Martin Sensmeier was born in Yakutat, Alaska. Martin is of Tlingit, Koyukon-Athabascan, Irish, and French descent. Raised in a Tlingit Coastal Community in Southeast Alaska, he grew up learning and participating in the traditions of his Tribes, becoming an adept hunter/fisherman.

Before embarking on a career in acting, Martin worked on an oil rig in Alaska which allowed him the free time to temporarily relocate to Los Angeles in 2007 where he enrolled in acting classes. Martin also got the opportunity, like so many Native models, to pose for famed designer, Virgil Ortiz. In 2011, Martin quit his job in the oil industry to pursue his dream of becoming a full-time actor.

Aside from his acting/modeling, Martin is also an ambassador for The Native Wellness Institute and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In addition, he advocates for wellness amongst Native people of all Nations, focusing mainly on Native youth.
